Reflection
The development of the online user guide for Greenstar's CBD balm usage provided me with valuable insights and learnings. Working on this project allowed me to gain expertise in using Articulate Rise, a cloud-based eLearning authoring tool. I learned to leverage its features to create visually appealing and user-friendly online user guides. I appreciated the flexibility and ease of use that Articulate Rise offered in organizing and presenting content. I recognized the significance of visual graphic elements in enhancing the user guide's effectiveness. I learned to select and design graphics that conveyed information clearly and engaged the users. By incorporating visually appealing images, diagrams, and illustrations, I ensured that the user guide was visually appealing and contributed to better understanding and access to the content. Along with the technical skills I developed, through working with with Greenstar's customers and subject matter experts I learned a lot about creating user accessible material. By actively involving the target audience and industry experts throughout the development process, I gained a deeper understanding of their needs, preferences, and pain points. This knowledge was invaluable in creating a user guide that effectively addressed the users' concerns and delivered the required information in a user-friendly manner. I had to consider various technical accessibility aspects during the project. I recognized the importance of ensuring that the user guide was accessible to individuals with diverse needs, such as those with visual impairments or limited technological proficiency. By adhering to accessibility guidelines and implementing features like alternative text descriptions for images, clear navigation, and compatibility with different devices, I ensured an inclusive user experience.
Continued Project Updates
As the project unfolded, I identified areas for potential improvements and additions for future courses. I acknowledged the value of incorporating more interactive elements and scenarios in the user guide to facilitate a hands-on learning experience. This could involve interactive quizzes or simulations that allow users to practice CBD balm application techniques in a safe and guided environment. Furthermore, I recognized the potential for integrating a discussion forum or community platform within the user guide. This would provide users with the opportunity to connect with one another, ask questions, and share experiences related to CBD balm usage. Such a social element would foster engagement, knowledge sharing, and a sense of belonging among Greenstar's customers.
