This page showcases some of my curriculum development projects.
These projects are pulled from my experience as a credentialed high school history teacher in California. Along with my past work, I also continue to create primary and secondary educational curriculum for schools and organizations.
My time in a classroom...
Throughout my undergrad experience I gravitated towards educational activism and restorative youth justice in academic spaces. I finished with my Bachelors in History with a minor in Urban Education, choosing to follow the career path of teaching high school history. I spent my postgrad years developing my understanding of educational practices and pedagogy through teaching in high schools and earning my M.Ed/ CA Single Subject Social Studies Teaching credential.
During that time I had to adapt to a variety of circumstances from starting the pandemic as a student myself to actually teaching online/hybrid and transitioning back into the classroom. These events demanded that I develop fast-thinking and creative problem solving skills. It also pushed me to refine my abilities in bridging my social-emotional tools of team management with my functionality and efficiency driven development of curriculum.
